Day 36. Steinach am Brenner → Brennero [12 km]

We’ve already reached the last town on our stage: Brenner. Today we only had 15 km to cover.
God has generously showered us with His grace throughout this week. We met kind, helpful people. Storms came just as we were settling in for the night. We lacked nothing. The route ran through the picturesque landscapes of the Alps. We were at a loss for words to express our awe at the beauty of nature. We are grateful to God for this time.

The Bishop spoke today in his homily about the universal priesthood, symbolized by the anointing of the baptized with holy chrism. Together with Jesus’ Eucharistic sacrifice, we offer our pilgrimage to God for the gift of new, zealous priestly, religious, and missionary vocations.
Along the way, we passed a great many beautiful churches and chapels. And from the priests serving in these areas, we heard about the decline of sacramental life. That is why we also ask God for faith for Europe and the world, so that new vocations may have a place to be born and people to serve.
Thanks be to God 🙂🙏
