Stage Eight, Day One
On Sunday, we began the first stage of our walking pilgrimage in the footsteps of St. Stanislaus Kostka. Young people from the Diocesan Youth Ministry “Studnia,” along with the diocesan youth minister and the Sisters of the Souls in Purgatory, set out from Ferrara.
We began the day with the Eucharist and a blessing from Bishop Szymon Stułkowski, who sent us on our way. During the pilgrimage, we are accompanied by conversations, getting to know one another, and above all, prayer for new vocations.
On the first day, we covered 34 kilometers from Ferrara to Argenta. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Fr. Fulvio and the nuns. Dinner together was an opportunity to rest after a full day of walking and to spend the evening together.
We ended the day with the Jasna Góra Prayer, entrusting to God the next stages of the pilgrimage and the intention we are carrying through Italy.
More days and more kilometers lie ahead of us. Destination: La Verna.
