🚶♂️🙏 Another leg of our Vienna–Rome pilgrimage is behind us! 🇦🇹➡️🇮🇹
Today we arrived in Mauthausen. We had about a 30-km hike ahead of us. 🌞🥵 The temperature reached 27°C, and we walked almost the entire route in full sun. Despite our fatigue, the beautiful views 🏞️ left us with no reason to complain. 😊
As we do every morning, we began the day with Holy Mass. ⛪🙏 Yesterday we said goodbye to Witek 👋, and today we concluded our reflection on the Book of the Prophet Hosea. 📖 The words “Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God” resonated deeply with us. ❤️ This is an invitation not to be afraid to return to God even after falling short, and to set out anew each day on the path toward Him, trusting in His infinite mercy. 🙏
In the evening, we arrived at Mauthausen—a place marked by a painful history. It was here, during World War II, that a Nazi German concentration camp was located. 🕯️ Today, in a special way, we pray for all the victims of war, violence, and hatred, and for peace in the world. 🤍
We also pray constantly for new and holy vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life. 🙏🕊️ Thank you for your prayers, and please—keep us in your thoughts! ❤️
