There is a place that has been etched in blood on the pages of our Polish and Catholic history. It is Dachau, near Munich. A concentration camp was located there. A great many priests were held there, including some from our homeland. This place was particularly significant for priests from the present-day Diocese of Toruń. Their fellow countryman, Blessed Father Stefan Wincenty Frelichowski, was martyred there. We also met with Sister Stefania Hayward, a Carmelite nun (there is a convent next to the Dachau concentration camp), who told us a little about this place of torment. There, in the convent, we celebrated Holy Mass.
After an exceptionally hot day, we’ve arrived in Ried and… honestly? We’re already sad that tomorrow is the last day of our pilgrimage!
