Dzień 4. St. Pölten → Melk [24 km]

We’ve completed another 30 kilometers of our pilgrimage. Today we walked the route from St. Pölten to Melk. We began the day with Holy Mass. It was said of St. Stanisław Kostka that his strength came “from his knees.” We, too, are discovering that it is the Eucharist that gives us the strength for the kilometers ahead.

We thank the religious fathers for their warm welcome and hospitality.

Everyone set off at their own pace. Tomek and Adam were the first to leave, while the rest of us stayed behind for breakfast. Adam skipped breakfast—apparently, his diet requires it. 😉 We waited almost half an hour for Robert and Witek, though. It turned out that even though the ladies at the restaurant were from Austria, when it came to organization, they seemed to have an Italian mindset. 😄 Later, everyone chose their own path—some went along the lower route, others through the forest. Different routes, but one goal.

A pleasant surprise today was a visit from journalists from *Gość Niedzielny*, who accompanied us for a while along the route and talked with us about our pilgrimage.

As always, there was no shortage of beautiful views. It was truly beautiful, though the kilometers are taking their toll more and more. Thank you for your prayers and for keeping us in your thoughts. Every day, we remember the intentions entrusted to us. 🙏
