Stage Seven, Day Two
We began the day with Holy Mass at 6:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Church of the Holy Family in Rovereto. This place is special because it houses the image of Mary, Queen of Poland, from Jasna Góra. After Mass, we listened to the testimony of Ms. Sylwia, a Polish woman living in Italy, and her story about bringing the image of Our Lady of Częstochowa to this parish. This icon is her expression of gratitude for the gift of motherhood. We experienced great kindness from the local residents, and at the end, a surprise awaited us in the form of a morning Italian espresso from the owner of the café across from the church. After such wonderful hospitality, we were able to joyfully continue on our way.
Today, from halfway along our route to Malcesine—where we’re spending the night—we were accompanied by a picturesque view of Lake Garda. Some members of our group also took the opportunity to walk the Bussate Tempesta scenic trail.
We ended the day with communal Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the Jasna Góra Appeal, along with prayers for priestly, religious, and apostolic vocations, as well as for marriage. Bishop Szymon Stułkowski joined us, along with Father Jarek, Mr. Jacek, and his 5-year-old son, Janek. Saint Stanislaus Kostka accompanies us on our journey; at every step, we see signs of God’s grace.
