Stage Seven, Day Four
After the 6:00 a.m. Mass, we set off for our next overnight stop—Verona.
Today’s journey went by quite quickly and pleasantly, despite the strong sun. Along the way, we visited the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore.
Since we managed to reach our destination by 3:00 p.m., we had the opportunity to explore this famous and charming city. In the evening, we gathered at the church, where Bishop Szymon told us the story of how our pilgrimage came to be. Then we sang the Jasna Góra Appeal, after which Father Giacomo welcomed us and told us about the place where we were staying.
We are grateful that we can make a pilgrimage in the footsteps of St. Stanislaus Kostka and, through his intercession, implore the gift of new vocations to serve the Church.
