Stage Eight, Day Two.
After celebrating Mass together and enjoying a delicious breakfast prepared by the nuns and the parish priest from Argentina, we set out on the next stage of our pilgrimage.
With every kilometer, we’re getting closer to the mountains. They’re slowly appearing on the horizon, and with each passing day, they become clearer. 🏔️ It’s a sign that the road is leading us further—toward La Verna.
Today we were accompanied by the beautiful Italian sun, which at times definitely didn’t make the walk any easier. Despite the high temperatures and fatigue, we covered more kilometers together and reached Lugo.
Along the way, we had time for conversation, getting to know one another, and above all, praying for new vocations. It is precisely this intention that guides us through the towns and kilometers ahead.
In the evening, we prepared dinner together. Cooking, sharing responsibilities, and simply spending time at the table provided another opportunity to be together and get to know one another even better.
We ended the day with the Jasna Góra Prayer, entrusting our journey ahead to God.
The second day is behind us. Our legs are feeling the kilometers more and more, but the mountains are getting closer. Tomorrow we’re heading out again! 🏔️🥾
