Day 65. Assisi → Trevi [27 km]

The final leg of the pilgrimage relay from Assisi to Rome was undertaken by a group from the Major Seminary in Płock, together with the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy from Kraków—a total of 19 people. Accompanying the seminarians are all the faculty members of the seminary, of which St. Stanislaus Kostka is the patron saint. The pilgrimage from Assisi began with a Holy Mass in the Basilica of St. Francis. The trek took place in intense heat, with temperatures reaching 34 degrees. We covered about 30 km, with our destination being the abbey of the Poor Clares in Trevi. The start of the journey and the first few kilometers are always particularly challenging. Covering those kilometers in the intense heat was possible thanks to the intentions each of us carried in our hearts. There were moments of shared prayer, conversation, and silence, and when someone grew weary along the way, the others waited for them.

Thank you for your prayers, and warm greetings to everyone following our pilgrimage!
