It was really dark this morning. The first stage was very challenging, as we had to tackle some very steep hills. However, we were rewarded with beautiful views—the last landscapes of Umbria. The high temperatures are still with us. Fatigue is setting in, but as we enter the fourth day of our journey, the pilgrims’ stamina is steadily improving. At the end of our walk, we were welcomed by the very hospitable Sisters of Divine Love, who opened their convent to us. The sisters’ hospitality was truly remarkable. We concluded the day with a communal Mass presided over by Rector Marek Jarosz, who emphasized the importance of community. As is our tradition, we ended the day with a shared dinner and watermelon for dessert.
