Dzień 9. Linz → Alkoven [16 km]

Today, Sunday, July 12, the second stage of our pilgrimage began. Yesterday evening, after a few adventures along the way 🛠, a group of 17 pilgrims arrived at the welcoming cathedral parish in Linz.

The group consists of: 3 priests (Fr. Paweł from the Diocese of Bydgoszcz, and Fr. Michał SChr and Fr. Paweł SChr, members of the Society of Christ the King from Poznań), 1 deacon (Deacon Marek SChr), 4 religious sisters (Missionaries of Christ the King for the Polish Diaspora: Magdalena, Ania, Monika, and Anastazja), 4 seminarians from the Diocese of Bydgoszcz (Kacper, Rafał, Michał, and Mateusz), 4 Christ the King seminarians (Leon, Oskar, Lukas, and Adam), and 1 layperson (Mariusz). The only one missing to represent all states of the Church is a bishop. 😉

We began the day with adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the crypt of the cathedral in Linz. Afterward, we participated in the Mass, joined by pilgrims from the first leg of the journey, who presented us with a “vocation suitcase.” 🧳🙂 Then, after breakfast together, we said goodbye to Father Sławomir, the parish priest, and set off for Alkoven, traveling along a picturesque route by the Danube, among other places. The weather was perfect, and so were our spirits. 🙂 In Alkoven, the parishioners also welcomed us with open hearts. We are grateful for all the goodness we experienced today. 😊 We remember in our prayers all those who are following our pilgrimage, and we also commend ourselves to their prayers. 🙏🏻
