We began the seventh day of our pilgrimage before sunrise. It was not only the last day of our pilgrimage, but also the day of St. Stanislaus’s birth into heaven.
The final step of the pilgrimage brought long-awaited relief. The hot, arduous trail—full of beautiful views and painful blisters—had come to an end, and fatigue gave way to pure gratitude and deep emotion. The sight of our destination soothed the pain and physical exhaustion. Tears of joy welled up in the eyes of many pilgrims. The joy of overcoming one’s own weaknesses united all participants in this relay pilgrimage.
We conclude our journey in Trento, a place that is not only a witness to extremely important events in the history of the Church but also faces a shortage of vocations. The seminary hosting us is completely empty. This further underscores the significance of our pilgrimage for the intention of vocations.
