Stage 8, Day 4.🥾
We began the day with a communal Mass, and then set out from Forlì toward Meldola.
This time, we had only 13 kilometers ahead of us—a truly pleasant distance after the previous days. Along the way, we had time for conversation and prayer together. We prayed the Rosary and the Angelus, entrusting our pilgrimage and the intention for new vocations to God.
Upon reaching Meldola, we were able to treat ourselves to something we’d been missing lately—a proper rest. We went to the lake, where we had time to swim, play together, laugh a lot, and simply enjoy each other’s company.
Because a pilgrimage isn’t just about the kilometers traveled. It’s also about the community that forms along the way—through prayer and conversation, but also through rest and joy.
In the evening, we returned to what is at the heart of our journey. There was time for personal prayer, and later we prayed together with the local pastor and parishioners. We remembered in a special way the members of all 14 churches and communities cared for by the local pastor, entrusting them to God and carrying their intentions with us as we continue on our journey.
Today our legs got a little rest, and our hearts were filled with so much goodness. Tomorrow we’re on the move again. The mountains are really close now. 🏔️🥾
